We have an excessive heat warning from the National Weather Service. This heat just knocks you down. I have a few projects due and there is no way to work on them. My fingers are slipping off the keys.
I worked for IBM as a summer temp in the 70s. The computers then were situated in a room with a cold floor - cold enough that the engineers complained about their feet. I worry about my computer now, with its little fan working as hard as it can.
We should all be kicking back with iced tea on the screened porch.
