Wildfoote Holey Half Mitts

I made these half mitts to keep my hands warm while leaving my fingers free. The Wildfoote fingering weight yarn is from Brown Sheep Company. The color is SY17 Purple Splendor. I had enough in the stash to make a pair of socks, but wanted to try this pattern instead. These mitts used up part of one skein, not much at all.

The Hands Up pattern by Aileen Cahill was very easy, quick to make up, and was free! I made a little mistake with the increases. I increased using a simple yarn over, but really should have knit into a stitch twice or something like that. The yarn overs leave a hole.

Hi Betty, been awhile since I stopped by your blog. I Love these half mitts, looks like something I'd wear while sketching in the field. Or working in my cold house!!
