February 28 is National Tooth Fairy Day. The tooth fairy gives a child money in exchange for baby teeth which have fallen out. Many countries have some form of tooth fairy, and sometimes, the tooth fairy is a mouse! La Petite Souris is the French tooth fairy mouse.

Hmm....I notice Tooth Fairy Day follows Valentines day...so by the time you finish off your candy heart filled with gooey chocolates...you start thinking about your teeth falling out!! hahaa....

Great post...I would love to see an illustrated version of this Tooth Fairy Mouse...I'd like to do it! Can you find more on the actual story? I looked at the Wiki link you added, but it doesn't have to story.
